Equipment
A list of some (but not all) of the equipment used by the team during investigations. A more comprehensive list will follow shortly.
EMF Readers
East of Scotland Paranormal uses two EMF readers on its investigations. One of these is a CellSensor the other is an ElecroSensor which both measure electromagnetic fields in milligauss (mG). Electromagnetic fields have long shared an association with paranormal occurences and are an essential item of equipment used in any paranormal investigation.
Beam Barriers
Beam Barriers are used by East of Scotland Paranormal in areas which have experienced phenomenon associated with movement and visual manifestation. The beam barriers used generate a high pitched sound when triggered which will alert the team of any unexpected movement through the trigger beams.
Laser Thermometer
The laser thermometer is used by East of Scotland Paranormal to measure possible fluctuations of static areas within the location concerned.
Air Temperature/Humidity Reader
This piece of equipment also known as a Hygro-Thermometer is used to measure the maximum and minimum humidity and air temperature in certain areas of the location. Fluctuations in temperature are often reported during paranormal experiences and can be accompanied by changes in humidity.
Camcorders
The East of Scotland Paranormal Team uses a number of infra-red camcorders and self lighted camcorders on investigations. The investigation is documented fully throughout the night, in order to pick up on any unexpected auditory or visual phenomenon and to have a full record of the teams activities.
Walkie Talkies
Walkie talkies are an essential in the inventory for any investigation to allow communication between groups and eliminate any confusion of the origin of auditory phenomenon.
Torches
Each member of the East of Scotland Paranormal Team carries with them a torch to prevent accidents in the dark environment which often accompanies an investigation.
